Memory & Cognition covers human memory and learning, conceptual processes, psycholinguistics, problem solving, thinking, decision making, and skilled performance, including relevant work in the areas of computer simulation, information processing, mathematical psychology, developmental psychology, and experimental social psychology. Memory & Cognition is a publication of the Psychonomic Society.

Memory Studies affords recognition, form and direction to work in this nascent field, and provides a critical forum for dialogue and debate on the theoretical, empirical, and methodological issues central to a collaborative understanding of memory today. Memory Studies examines the social, cultural, cognitive, political and technological shifts affecting how, what and why individuals, groups and societies remember, and forget.

Men and Masculinities (M&M) offers high-quality, interdisciplinary research in the emerging field of men and masculinities studies. M&M presents peer-reviewed empirical and theoretical scholarship grounded in the most current theoretical perspectives within gender studies, including feminism, queer theory and multiculturalism. Using diverse methodologies, M&M's articles explore the evolving roles and perceptions of men across society.

Metaphilosophy publishes articles and book reviews stressing considerations about philosophy and particular schools, methods or fields of philosophy. The intended scope is very broad: no method, field or school is excluded. Particular areas of interest include: the foundation, scope, function and direction of philosophy; justification of philosophical methods and arguments; the interrelations among schools or fields of philosophy (for example, the relation of logic to problems in ethics or epistemology); aspects of philosophical systems; presuppositions of philosophical schools; the relation of philosophy to other disciplines (for example, artificial intelligence, linguistics or literature); sociology of philosophy; the relevance of philosophy to social and political action; issues in the teaching of philosophy.

The organ of no institution or society, Metaphysica provides a medium for the research, development, and criticism in analytical ontology and metaphysics. It also provides a forum for critical, constructive, and interpretative consideration in the history of ontology and metaphysics. Articles, discussions, and reviews in this journal are intended to serve the research interests of philosophers and students in all areas of philosophy.

Metascience is a review journal which publishes high quality, comprehensive reviews of books in the fields of history and philosophy of science and science and technology studies.Metascience specialises in innovative styles of reviewing, including book symposia, essay reviews, survey reviews and standard reviews. It is the aim of Metascience to have the widest possible coverage. Thus, books which are not reviewed are presented in short descriptive notices.Metascience is non-specialist in that reviews are accessible to a wide cross-section of the science studies community.

Method & Theory in the Study of Religion (MTSR) publishes articles, notes, book reviews and letters which explicitly address the problems of methodology and theory in the academic study of religion. This includes such traditional points of departure as history, philosophy, anthropology, psychology, and sociology, but also the natural sciences, and such other approaches as feminist theory, discourse analysis, and ideology critique. Method & Theory in the Study of Religion also concentrates on the critical analysis of the history of the study of religion itself.

We are entering a new and exciting era of microbiological study and application. Recent advances in the now established disciplines of genomics, proteomics, and bioinformatics, together with extensive cooperation between academic and industrial concerns, have brought about an integration of basic and applied microbiology as never before. Microbial Physiology aims to reflect this development by publishing original research papers from all areas of microbiology and biotechnology. It also features written symposia on selected topics, timely reviews, and mini-reviews. Theoretical approaches and descriptions of novel, microbiologically relevant software are also considered. Contributions and ideas from large segments of the scientific community are welcome to make Microbial Physiology a viable, much needed, and up-and-coming forum for current basic and applied microbiological research.

The Midcontinental Journal of Archaeology (MCJA) is the premier peer-reviewed, academic archaeology journal of the Midwest Archaeological Conference (MAC). The Conference serves to promotes and stimulate interest in the archaeology of the midwestern United States and neighboring areas; to serve as a bond among those interested in this and related subjects; to advocate for the conservation of archaeological data; and to encourage an appreciation and support of regional archaeological research.

The MCJA seeks original articles on Eastern Woodlands archaeology of the region between the Appalachian Mountains and the Great Plains, from the Boreal Forests to the Gulf of Mexico, and on closely related subjects.  Our contributions range in chronology and context from the kill sites of the continents’ first inhabitants to the privies of early 20th century city dwellers. We are especially interested in manuscripts that apply contemporary theory or method to existing problems and data sets in the midcontinent and that are of broad, general interest across the region. The MAC occasionally sponsors symposiums at its annual meeting on timely spatial or temporal issues that form special edited sections of the journal.
